ABER MERCY

Mercy is a kind and helpful 9-year-old in Primary 2 who enjoys sweeping and keeping her surroundings neat. She takes pride in doing small tasks around the home and learning how to be responsible each day. Mercy can often be seen helping care for her 8-month-old baby cousin, gently watching over and assisting with the little one. Her favorite food is boo, a local dish made from cooked greens that is commonly enjoyed in her community.
Mercy is one of eight children being raised by her mother. Her parents are divorced, and her father lives in a different district and is not involved in the family’s daily life. Caring for a large family on a single income can be challenging, but Mercy continues to grow, learn, and attend school faithfully.
