Celebrate Recovery is a transformative, Christ-centered program aimed at helping you overcome life's challenges, including anger, addiction, and relational struggles. Together, we strive for spiritual growth and freedom from the burdens of our past.
People in churches and communities within and around Kitgum are deeply hurting as a result of broken homes, past trauma, sexual addiction, gambling addiction, and much more. Yet, no recovery programs are within their reach at the moment. In response to this challenge, a Christ-centered recovery program was established in September 2022. Establishing the Celebrate Recovery ministry at HAM MINISTRY UGANDA began with training potential T.E.A.M. leaders. Having a significant impact on the lives of hurting children, youths, and adults starts with equipping leaders who will eventually reach out to the lost souls. By leading by example, these leaders have been able to make a difference. After completing the training in 2023, they have been leading large group meetings, small group meetings, and step studies.
We believe that through the Celebrate Recovery large group meeting and step study, people struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups will discover Christ's saving power and enter into a loving relationship with Jesus, which is our ultimate goal.
